A Delicious Recipe for Curry Lamb!
Tender lamb with potatoes, peppers, and onions seasoned with curry and garlic.
I’ve had several requests for curried goat these past couple weeks. Unfortunately, I do not eat goat. However, I do eat lamb meat, and this recipe can be used for both lamb and goat!
This curry lamb recipe is actually simple. The hardest part is letting the seasoned meat sit for a minimum of 4 hours prior to cooking. For best results, I do not recommend skipping this process.
I prefer using bone-in lamb shoulder for this recipe for many reasons:
- It’s always at my grocery store
- It’s cheap
- Very tender
- The bone adds flavor while cooking
You can also try this recipe with chicken. If you want to add more vegetables, such as celery, you can.

Hi Rosie,
Can you use any type of meat? and if so, will you do it the same way like chicken?
Rosie says
You can use chicken. Chicken would take less time to cook.

I’m thinking about making this for dinner next week, but I want to try it with beef. Do you think it will turn out okay? If yes, what cut of beef would you suggest that i buy?
Rosie says
You can use beef if you choose. It won’t be the same, and that is actually a different recipe.
